Shahi Paneer Crumbled

Shahi Paneer is one vegetarian dish that you must try for an exotic meal. It is prepared with nuts, onions, spices & cream.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 2 tbsp Ghee/Clarified butter
  • 250 gm Paneer or Cottage Cheese (crumbled)
  • 3 big Tomatoes (roughly chopped)
  • 8-10 pcs Cashews
  • 1 Green Chilli (slit into half)
  • 2 inch Ginger (roughly chopped)
  • 6 cloves Garlic (roughly chopped)
  • 1 tsp Caraway Seeds or Shahi Jeera
  • 2 big Onions (roughly chopped)
  • 1/2 cup Cream or Malai
  • 2 drops Kewra Water (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tbsp Shahi Paneer Masala
  • 1 tsp Kasuri Methi
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • Salt to Taste

Instructions
 

Step 1

  • In a pan add oil, shahi jeera, cashews, ginger, garlic, green chilli toss it, add onions cook till golden brown. keep tossing occasionally add tomatoes cook till little soft keep aside.

Step 2

  • Let it cool down, add few ice cubes and grind it to a smooth puree.

Step 3

  • In a pan add ghee let it melt add turmeric powder and shahi paneer masala saute it properly on low flame also add the puree mix well.

Step 4

  • Add sugar and salt accordingly, let it simmer on low flame for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally. add kasuri methi, kewra water, & cream and let it simmer for 5 more minutes. also add ghee for extra richness.

Step 5

  • Lastly add crumbled paneer and mix well serve hot with tandoori roti or plain roti.
