Aloo Pyaaz ke Paratha
This is a very easy to make indian recipe mostly eaten with plain curd or raita.This recipe is one of the most popular breakfast dishes throughout western, central and northern regions of India as well as in Punjab.
Ingredients
For Dough
- 3 cups Wheat Flour
- 1 tbsp Baking Powder
- 1 tsp Salt
- 2 tbsp Oil
- Water (to knead the dough)
For Stuffing
- 6-8 Boiled Potatoes
- 2 Onion (chopped)
- ½ cup Fresh Coriander
- 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
- ½ tsp Turmeric Powder
- ½ tsp Cumin Powder
- ½ tsp Coriander / Dhania jeera powder
- ½ tsp Dry Mango Powder/Amchur Powder
- Salt to taste
Instructions
Step 1
- Combine Wheat flour, Baking powder, Salt and add oil and water to form a semi stiff dough. Keep aside.
Step 2
- In a bowl add boiled mashed potatoes, onions and coriander with the above spices.Divide the mixture into balls and keep aside.
Step 3
- Roll it into thick Parathas and apply Ghee on both sides and cook till golden brown.Serve hot with Yogurt and pickle.
