Vegetable Au Gratin
This is a continental delicacy made with mixed vegetables and white sauce as a base.This lip smacking dish is cheesy, delicious and makes a perfect side dish can be served with garlic bread.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Carrot (chopped)
- 1 cup French Beans (chopped)
- 1 Potato (small dice)
- 1 cup Sweet Corn
- 1 cup Peas
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 2 cup Milk
- ½ tsp Black Pepper Powder
- ½ tsp Fresh Nutmeg Grated
- 2 tbsp Granulated Sugar
- 2 tbsp Maida or Refined Flour
- ½ cup Fresh Pineapple or Tin Pineapple (cut in small cubes)
- ½ cup Grated Cheese (for topping)
- Salt to Taste
Instructions
Step 1
- Par boil the above vegetables in boiling water with little salt, strain it with cold water.
Step 2
- Take a pan add oil, butter let it melt add maida and keep whisking. add milk in batches so that no lumps are formed. It should be a thick consistency add the seasoning.
Step 3
- Top it with cheese and pineapple cubes and bake it till golden brown.
