Gujarati Khichdi Saag

This dish is full of garlic flavors which tastes really awesome when you have it with gujarati khichdi and chaas or kadhi specially during cold winter nights.Every gujarati love to have khichdi during those lazy cold winter nights when you just don't feel like cooking,so you can understand this dish cooks in less time because we actually do not need a lot of ingredients with potato,tomatoes,fresh coriander and garlic chutney this dish is perfect to go with bhakri or regular chappati.It is a very healthy recipe and very easy for digestion.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 big Potato chopped in cube
  • 2 big Tomato chopped in cube
  • ½ cup Fresh Coriander chopped chopped
  • 1 tbsp Garlic Chutney
  • 3 tsp Oil
  • ½ tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tbsp water

Instructions
 

Step 1

  • First make the garlic chutney in a motor and pestle add 5-6 big cloves of garlic, little salt pound it to make a paste add red chilli powder, turmeric, dhania jeera powder. Keep pounding to form a thick smooth paste.

Step 2

  • Take a pressure cooker make sure the flame is turned off,add chopped potatoes,tomatoes,coriander,garlic chutney paste, red chilli powder, turmeric and salt.Add oil, water and stir it properly.Close the lid and pressure cook till 3 whistles on high flame.Serve hot with khichdi.
